WEDNESDAY

 Wednesday has been my day to put prayers on this blog for quite some time.  I have become more prayerful over the years.  I believe in the power of prayer.  Of course, I believe in God and prayer is essentially talking to God.  I think I've got to know Him better in the last decade or two.  As I've said before, To know Him is to love Him.  

Today, let's try to make an outline of prayer as taught by the Son of God.  

I.      Praise God

II.    Express your hope for the future of our world as He intended.

III.   Thank God for all you have and ask that those basic blessings continue.

IV.    Promise to treat others as you would have them treat you

V.     Express sorrow for and ask forgiveness for your failures

VI.   Acknowledge the need for His help 

VII.  Lastly, ask for some special blessing

As tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in our country, a special prayer.

O Heavenly Father, 

We thank you for our food; let us remember those in the world who are hungry.

We thank you for our homes; let us remember those in the world who are homeless.

We thank you for our health; let us remember those in the world who are sick or injured.

We thank you for our friends and family; let us remember those in the world who are alone.

We thank you for our freedom; let us remember those who are enslaved or wrongly imprisoned.
