Is the world's longest canal, the Suez Canal between Africa and the Middle East connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean or the Panama Canal between South America and Central America connecting the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean?  Answer:  Neither, the longest is the Grand Canal of China.  It is also the oldest of canals and travels over 1,100 miles through eight provinces.  It travels from Beijing to the East China Sea at Hangzhou.

Watch out for the deer - it's rutting season.  They get a little crazy this time of year.  Hormones!  Sometimes, the males will fight each other for the want of a doe.  They will charge each other with their antlers.  We call the coating on the antlers "velvet" because that's what it looks like when they first show.  A male can get a new set of antlers each year.
