This last Sunday before Lent begins, all the readings have to do with the law and how to interpret it. You should have heard and probably remember; in Leviticus, "Love your neighbor as yourself", in Corinthians, "You are the temple of God and the Spirit of God lives within you. If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy them.", and from Matthew's Gospel, "When someone strikes your cheek turn the other one as well." and "... love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." You get the picture.
