Today is the Ides of March. The Soothsayer warned Caesar that something bad would happen this date . . . and it did. His friend Brutus, plunged a knife deep into his gut - according to my friend, Bill (Shakespeare, that is). We don't really believe in this kind of crap.
What we do believe in is a healthy respect for the saints - especially, my namesake, Paddy. Let's pray no one is injured during this year's St. Patrick's Day revelry.
"Lord God, continue to look down with favor on the Irish and all those that wish they were Irish this weekend."
