Were you shocked by the abrupt dismissal of Tucker Carlson from Fox News and/or Don Lemon from CNN news channel? They shouldn't be put in the same category; Carlson drew 3.3 million viewers each night (the largest audience in news history) and Lemon drew only 675 thousand.
Here's a hint to the Tucker Carlson story that may have some bearing. The night before he was dismissed, he made a speech before the Heritage Foundation in Washington. Heritage is a conservative think tank which attempts to influence public policy making. I subscribe to most of their podcasts. I saw a replay of Carlson's speech before that group.
If you think I'm going to say that he said things that conservatives, like his network, didn't care for; that's not the case. His message had a more religious tone. Tucker grew up in a family involved with the Episcopal Church. He said the best thing, we all could do, was to pray.
You should be able to find the speech on YouTube. He's a good speaker. It's not what I expected from him. I think it may not have been what the owners of FOX News Corp expected, either. They may be strongly conservative - but I'm guessing the big guy with many marriages is not strongly religious.
