Today is the start of the holiday weekend. I'm talking about Pentecost. This holiday marks 50 days after the day when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, Easter. It commemorates the time when God sent his grace, the Holy Spirit, to the Apostles. They received the knowledge, understanding and strength which allowed them to go and preach to all the world that Jesus was God and all he had taught them. Those who are Christians today can attribute it to this event. It is and should be a holiday.
Our country is also celebrating a holiday this Monday; we call it Memorial Day. Remember and pray for those who gave their lives for the country. There were many - and we owe them our gratitude. To give your life for a cause is the ultimate.
Remember, that Jesus gave his life for a cause, also. His cause was you.
