SHARKS
As you can see, I'm still stuck in the oceans' waters - yesterday octopi and today, sharks. These are not card sharks - of course, card sharks is a misnomer. It is supposed to be card sharp, for a slick handler of playing cards but most people mistakenly say card shark. No matter, it's not that guy I'm talking about. It is the fish.
Turns out there are more than 500 species of sharks. Today, I'm looking at child bearing methods of this creature. It surprised me to find out that not all sharks utilize to same method of bearing their offspring.
Some sharks are oviparous. Most fish are oviparous as well as birds and reptiles. Egg laying.
Some sharks are viviparous. Mammals are viviparous like humans most animals. Live births.
Some sharks are ovoviviparous. Most sharks are like this - it's a mix between the other two types. In this method, the mother shark keeps the egg inside her until it is viable. The young grow in the egg.
Now you've got some new words to spring on your friends. They won't fit into a Wordl but they could come in handy at a boring cocktail party.
