 OCTOPI

Do you use octopi as the plural of octopus?  Seems foreign to me.  But, for some reason, it sounds better than octopuses.  Both forms are acceptable.

Oh well, did you know . . . there are many types of octopi, but for the most part, they each have nine hearts, eight arms (two of which act as legs), three brains and blue blood.  If I were going to make up a lie about octopuses, it wouldn't be this.  Astounding! Just stick that little factoid in the back of you single brain controlling a single heart - there should be room.
