BORROWED WISDOM

 Not far above the horizon in the western sky, each evening this time of year,  you can see what appears to be a large star.  It's not!  It's not even a planet!  It's two planets - disguised as one to the naked eye.  Amazingly, Mars (the 4th rock from the Sun) and Venus (the second rock from the Sun) are in the same line of vision.  Step out at dusk tonight and take a look.

Expect the Ukraine military to make a big push into Russian-held territory in the next few days.  They promised a big counterattack when the weather changed.  They have been pounding Russian supply routes and depots with long range rockets and missiles for the past month.  Of course, the Ukrainian people think this is great but I can only ask myself what the Russians will do.  They can't be as bad or weak as they seem - can they?

It is about 90 miles from Cuba to the Florida Keys across the Florida Strait..  It is about 81 miles from Taiwan to the Chinese mainland across the Taiwan Strait.  We have secret installations on Taiwan.  The Chinese have secret installations on Cuba.  Cuba was never American soil.  China has some close historical connections to Taiwan.  Cubans are Hispanic peoples.   Taiwanese are Chinese people. 

Today we celebrate the feast day of Thomas the Apostle.  You know, the one who doubted Jesus rose from the dead even though his friends swore it was true.  He was a real traveling missionary in that first year A.D.  It is believed he ended up in India - a long way from Israel in those days.   Don't doubt.

Now, I'm sorry for making fun of the weatherman for never bringing us the rain they promise.  Enough!
