LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW

 In case you need a pick-me-up on this cold Winter evening with snow covering the landscape, read on.

The Cincinnati Reds open spring training action with a game in Goodyear, AZ against the Cleveland Guardians on February 24.  Opening day of the regular season takes place against the Washington Nationals at Great American Ball Park on March 28.  

So hunker down for just another month.  You can do it.  Save your money so you can afford the outrageous gas bills. Cook a big pot of home-made soup and leave it on the stove to simmer and fill your house with its warm steam and the fragrant goodness of fresh food.  Wind up the Victrola and play an oldie smoothly off the vinyl.  Let the sun shine in through the blinds when it shows itself and sit in a chair where the rays can warm you.  Call a friend you haven't spoken to in a while - that too will warm you.  Make sure the elderly you know and those in your neighborhood are warm and safe.  

Say your prayers each day.  Get into that prayer habit.  No one needs to know but you and the one to whom you pray.
