I hate to spoil the illusion but the pigskin is made out of synthetic rubber. When I grew up, they were all made out of cow skin - some still are.
Of course, the inner tube which holds the air is made out of rubber. This part was originally made out of a pig's bladder - before rubber was available.
By the way, the footballs used in the Super Bowl were made in Ada, Ohio.
