 Here is a list I came across that I found interesting - hope you do too.  A group called GFP Global Firepower has been rating and ranking the world's military ability by country since 2006.  They have their 2024 rankings out.  Here's what I found for Europe.

Europe is made up of 37 countries.  GFP ranks these countries based on their size of  Army, Air Force, and Navy, the range of hardware, weapons and ammunition, natural resources, and finances.  They also make an assessment of the trend in strength which I denote as follows; increasing (+), remaining the same (=) and decreasing (-).

The others in order:  Netherlands, Switzerland, Czechia, Romania, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Belarus, Croatia, Slovakia, Belgium, Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Albania, Slovenia, Ireland, Latvia, Luxembourg, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Iceland, and Moldova. 

 Italy surprised me and so did Portugal.  Any surprise you?
