NEWS OF THE WEEK

Vito the Pug won the National Dog Show last weekend in Philadelphia.  He came out of the Toy group for the win.  

The Israel Hezbollah cease fire seems to be holding.  The Syrian rebels are now routing the government forces who have lost Russian backing.  The Assad regime is in trouble and could be overthrown.

Australia has passed a law which takes effect next year that prohibits social media outlets like Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and others from accepting users under 16 years of age.  Fines for these companies can range up to $33 million.  I have no idea how these companies will police it.

Up in Alaska, they played WKRP in Cincinnati last week by dropping fresh turkeys from the air to some rural residents. No injuries to humans were reported.

Hunter Biden got a pardon from his father for what he had been found guilty of and anything else he may have done in the last 10 years.

Somethings going on in South Korea.  Their president called for martial law and then rescinded it a day later.  These are our friends.  Not sure what to expect.

The CEO of United Health Care was the victim of murder.  The killer left evidence that makes authorities think it was directed at his company's actions or the whole health care industry.

Eli Lilly says they have a weight loss drug 50% more effective than wegovy.  

Taylor Swift sold more streamed songs than any other artist for the second year in a row.  

The US Stock Markets continued it's upward tendency.  Looks good thru the end of the year.

College football league championships will be played this weekend.  Next week the playoffs will be settled.

The Bengals lost to the Steelers.  I hoped I never had to type that again, but...!

UC and XU each managed an uninspired basketball loss this week.  The showdown is next weekend.
