When I was in my twenties, a foreman worked for me who always called me PJ. It stuck with his crew and others in the company. I thought it might be a lifetime moniker but it went away when I left that company. I still respond to it but hear it very seldom.
Some of the rich and famous of our country use initials in lieu of names. Here are a few: B.F.Goodrich, J.P.Morgan, J.C.Penny, P.T.Barnum, B.B.King, J.D.Salinger, T.S.Eliot, U.S.Grant, C.C.Sabathia, and M.C.Hammer. Can you think of any others?
I can think of one: RJ, my grandson. It looks like he'll be known by his initials the rest of his life. I think it's great. I also think he will some day be as famous as those I've named above.
Stay curious, RJ. Use all the talents God has given you. I love you.
