THE BIG C
First big shocker of the new year, for me. One of my best friends has terminal cancer. Its sobering. Lung cancer; brain cancer, and maybe more. I realize nobody gets out of this world alive. But...
He's about 66, easy come-easy go attitude, a heavy smoker most of his life, good athlete, guys guy, great family, fairly heavy drinker, hard worker, refused to see doctors, very intelligent, never had a physical, stubborn as a mule. What a conundrum.
