The last month of the season, the Bengals fell on their collective faces and lost a prime chance to be in the playoffs. It turns out that their number two wide receiver, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, fractured four bones in his back against Baltimore in late November and, after that , was being thrown to more sparingly though he still caught a lot of passes. No one was told of the injury so that other teams would not take advantage of him.

As you watch the Super Bowl, remember how violent this game is. Also, remember that reasons things happen are not always immediately apparent.
