SOFTBALL
As a preface, let me say that on Thursday night I walked/jogged over 2-1/2 miles at Sharon Woods Lake after work, came home and ate, and went out and walked behind the mower for an hour and a half. This was not the way to prepare for a ball game at my age. My body was hurting on Friday. I opted not to play in the field at our game - we had plenty of players. We were leading the game 9-3 in the fifth and 10-6 in the sixth. We gave up seven runs in the top of the seventh and needed three just to stay in the game. We got the three and I had a chance to win it with a hit but grounded out weakly. The game went to the eighth inning and we scratched across a run to win 14-13. I was one for four and that one was questionable. Oh, well, we won and the beer was cold.
