EVE

Today is New Year's Eve...the day before our new year begins...or maybe the night before...or maybe the evening before. In Jewish tradition, all holidays begin at sundown of the day before. Poets use the word eve to mean evening.

Eve is from a Hebrew word meaning 'life' or 'living being'. According to the Bible, Eve is the mother of the Human Race...we are all children of Eve. Eve was formed by God from Adam's rib...not from his head that she should rule over him...not from his foot that he should rule over her...but from his side that they should be equal...different but equal. It is a good thought with which to start the year.
