Today is my last day of work before I start vacation. Tomorrow morning we fly south.
The English call it holiday. I think I like that word better. Vacation is a word with the root of vacate, as in, I am vacating this place. Its true, but it doesn't sound as fun as going on a holiday. In one case you are leaving and in the other you are going somewhere. Holiday is more positive. I like it. . . we should use it.
I am going on holiday starting tomorrow!!! Woooheee!!!
