I've had a relapse on my journey with contact lenses. I started using a new set this week and they are harder to install than my old set. That doesn't make sense to me. These also seem to get displaced easier than my old pair.
Wednesday morning I was rubbing my eyes in the shower and displaced both of them. I was looking at the world through a broken kaleidoscope. I had to take them out and reinsert them before I went to the office.
When I got to the office, I was in our kitchen fixing a cup of tea and talking to a coworker. Without thinking, I was rubbing an itchy eye and displaced one again. This time I tried to push it around to get it back in place but I knocked it completely out. I caught it and had it sitting on the end of my finger while I walked to a gal's desk to get some eye drops to help reinsert it. Still balancing the little bugger on the end of my finger, I walked to the men's room to use the mirror and it flew off onto the tile floor. OMG! I had nothing to clean it with. I had to put it back in. Could there be a more unsanitary place? It seemed like the world was a little yellow the rest of the day.
