WORDS

Here's a word I've been worrying about:  Pair.  Obviously it means two that go together.  Well, not so obvious, maybe.  How about a pair of scissors.  Does that mean two scissor?  Is each one of those pieces a scissor?  I don't think so.  How about a pair of binoculars?  Do we have two binocular when we have a pair of binoculars?  No!  Actually, we have two monocular which make up a binocular, don't we?  How about a pair of pants?  Does that mean that you take two pant which match and make a pair of pants?  If you get a hole in the knee, do you need to patch the pant leg or the pants' leg? Worry! Worry! Worry!
:o)
