BIG BEN

Big Ben is leaning.  No, not the QB of the Steelers.  The clock tower in London.  This huge bell clock is in the tower of the Palace of Westminster (also known as the Houses of Parliament).  It is about 16 stories high; well over 300 feet in the air.   The thing can be seen all over London.  It has taken away many a Londoners excuse that he didn't know what time it was. 

Anyway, I saw a story the other day that said it is leaning or tilting.  It seems that the building of an underground garage below it about 10 years ago has caused the problem.  It has been moving a little less than a millimeter per year.  I've decided not to worry about it.  At that rate, I'll be a 106 before it moves an inch.  You youngsters better beware.  I thought it was a noble deed to warn you.
