I never had much hope for the Bengals at the beginning of the season. Three or four wins appeared to me to be the best they could do. As happens so often, they surprised me (and the experts) and reminded me how unpredictable sports can be by amassing seven wins in the first twelve games. The eighth win seemed inevitable yesterday when they had a nine point lead with six minutes to go. That was as sad a loss as I can remember from this franchise. I may not watch another football game this year.
