FEBRUARY 3

On this date in 1913, one-hundred-and-one years ago today, the Sixteenth Amendment to our Constitution was ratified.  It gave Congress the authority to impose and collect an income tax.

Congress has spent the last 101 years devising new taxes, raising existing taxes, finding new names to call taxes and pretending to want to reduce taxes.  They never saw a tax they didn't like.

Jesus selected a tax collector, Matthew, as one of His first twelve disciples.  So, there is hope for the our politicians.  When you see one of them repent, let me know.   The End will be near.
