MARCH MADNESS

March Madness started this week.  The league tournaments are almost as compelling as the NCAA national tourney.

You can't really draw any conclusions about which team is better than another from these or any games.  The hallmark of sports is carried in the traditional line given by the referee at every boxing match.  "May the better man win."   All sports fans wish it were that way - but it is not.

The better team does not always win. The winner of a tournament is not the best team;  it is simply the team that won.  Remember that.
