SUNDAY SERVICE

The third Sunday of the Easter season brings us the story of two men walking along the road from Jerusalem discussing how shocked they were at what had happened.  It was several days after Jesus was crucified and they were confused and distraught.

A third man, who they didn't recognize, joined them along the way. He explained to them all that had happened and why.  Not until they stopped to eat (break bread) did they realize who it was.  Of course, the third man was the risen Christ.

The next time you're confused and distraught, worried and upset, or fearful and sad, take a quiet walk . . . and listen closely.
