My Dad may have been a sometimes heavy drinker when I was very young. I can remember one of the few arguments between my parents occurred when he came home late on a Friday night after work.
Dad only drank beer as far back as I remember and had no musical talent. His brothers always seemed to me to be heavy drinkers. Stanley fancied himself a singer and would do the soft shoe at family functions. Dad said Larry was a great ballroom dancer and that he and his wife Ginny won contests. Roger, the lifelong bachelor, was a drinker/gambler.
In his later years, Dad loved to go to the men's club meetings at church. They would play poker and drink beer for hours.
