GROWING OLD

I've been seventy for about three months now.  Before that, I almost always lied about my age when asked.  I often claimed to be fifty-five or something almost as ridiculous.  I thought people would be fooled because I was in pretty good shape for my age.

Now, I find myself proud and anxious to admit I'm seventy.  I can't wait to hear that "well, you don't look it" response.  Truth is: I know I can't fool anyone any more.
