SOFTBALL

It seems quite odd to me to be writing about softball on my 50th wedding anniversary.  Actually, it is not.

I've had a wonderful life.  My darling wife has allowed me a few dalliances.  One is softball.  All the others, are also sports related.  She is a gem.  I am so lucky.  I love her more today than yesterday - but not as much as tomorrow.

The softball thing might be over.  We won last night; run-ruled a bad fielding team.  I had three at-bats and embarrassed myself each time.  I didn't play in the field - my decision.  I didn't drink a beer after the game and went straight home.   There's no fool like an old fool.
