The last line from the Gospel passage that will be read this Sunday quotes Jesus as saying: "For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it but whoever losses his life for my sake will save it."
'Loses his life' does not necessarily mean 'to die'. He is talking about what your main objective in life is to be. Don't get overly hung up on the world. Don't get overly hung up on your day-to-day doings.
Put Jesus in your life. Keep things in perspective. Keep your eye on the prize.
