Included in our readings this Sunday is a letter from Paul to the Galatians in which he says the following: "...a person is not justified by works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ. ...by works of law, no one will be justified."
It's a good point. To me, this means that it should not be our sole aim to just obey all the civil laws or even, to obey all the Ten Commandments. What is needed is that faith that makes you a Christian...to be Christlike.
Don't dwell on the negative...sin. Concentrate on the positive...love.
