Luke's Gospel read this Sunday is about three things. First, Jesus answers the question, "How are we to pray?" by giving his followers the Lord's Prayer. Next, Jesus teaches about the value of 'persistence'. Finally, he teaches the value of asking God for what you need because you are a child of God - and what father would deprive their child of what they need. Just ask.
Of course, the three things are really one. It is all about prayer. The value of prayer cannot be measured. I have no doubt of it's worth. Pray to God as Jesus taught us - pray persistently - do not be afraid to ask for what you need. Your Father will not let you down.
