WHEN I WAS A KID

When I was a kid, Swifton Shopping Center was built.  I walked or road my bike there a few times.  It was a teen hang-out of sorts.  You could get Pasquale's Pizza or shop for records.

Just last year, I learned that in the late 1960's, one Donald J. Trump was in charge of redoing the foreclosed housing project that surrounded the center.   His father had purchased it as an investment.  It went well and they ended up making almost $1 million.  (big money back then)
