SUNDAY SERVICE

Today is the first Sunday of Advent - preparation for the coming of Jesus.  This year we look through the eyes of Matthews Gospel.

In Catholic services tomorrow, Matthew recounts Jesus teaching his disciples about always being prepared.  Just like we don't know when the thief will come in the night, we should be prepared always.  Just like Noah didn't know how bad the flood would be, he built an ark which saved him and his family.

In this season, the Church prepares us for the coming of Jesus at Christmas. On a personal level, we must always be prepared for the coming of Jesus, for our death.  You must know that we will all meet our "Maker" one day and we do not know when.  Do what you can to always be prepared.
