RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

DID YOU KNOW THAT ...

Did you know that . . .

. . . Easter is the first Sunday after the first full moon after March 21 (the vernal equinox, the first day of Spring).  This year the first full moon will be April 11.  The following Sunday is April 16, Easter Sunday.

. . . according to the Chinese Zodiac, this is the year of the Rooster.  I am a Rooster!  There are 12 animals in the zodiac - so us roosters only come along every 12 years.  If you were born in 2005, 1993, 1981, 1969, 1957, 1945 or 1933, you were also born in the year of the Rooster.  Then, like me, you are honest, intelligent, energetic, flamboyant, flexible and confident (I left out the bad things). This is probably my last year to celebrate.

. . . no marsupials are native to Europe, Africa or Asia.  Marsupials are animals that carry their young in a pouch on their body.  Examples:  kangaroos, possums, wombats, koalas, wallabies and the Tasmanian devils.

. . . Sears has sold its line of Craftsman tools to a competitor.  Can the end for that great old company be far away?

. . . a 30-second commercial during the first half of next Sunday's Super Bowl will cost the advertiser well over $5 million.

. . . many old folks suffer from dementia.   Not me, I rather enjoy it.
