RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

It's Cross Town Shoot Out Day!!!  A Cincinnati tradition.  May the better team win and no one get shot.

Cincinnati handled Tulane last weekend in Baton Rouge.  Xavier handled Georgetown at the Cintas Center.  The Bearcats are on a streak but the Musketeers have played a tougher schedule.  Toss up the ball and see what happens.

The Atlanta Falcons punched their ticket to the Super Bowl with an impressive win over the Green Bay Packers.  The Falcons offense looks unstoppable.  Mohamed Sanu, ex-Bengal, is a big part of that.

The New England Patriots took care of the Pittsburgh Headhunters and will meet the Falcons in two weeks in Super Bowl LI.  I suppose were going back to Roman numerals now that we got past 'L'.
Andy Dalton is replacing Tom Brady in the Pro Bowl this weekend.

Fun scene of the weekend:  Patriots owner Robert Kraft was awarded the beautiful Lamar Hunt Trophy for winning the AFC Championship after the game - he said a few words and handed the trophy back to the TV guy who gave it to him.  Pats not interested in anything but the Super Bowl.

Mariemont stomped Madeira . . . Yes!
