BEER
When I was a kid, beer manufacturers made what we called 3-2 beer. The Ohio law allowed 18 year-olds to buy and drink this 3-2 beer. 3-2 meant that it had less than 3.2% alcohol content. The manufacturers also made so called 6% beer (over 3.2%) for those over 21.
In 1982, the law changed to change the minimum age to 19. In 1988, the law was simplified. Now you MUST be 21 to buy or consume beer no matter the percent of alcohol in it. The maximum allowable in Ohio was 12%.
Just last August, Ohio lawmakers eliminated the maximum alcohol content from beer. It can be more than 12%, now. Some are still near the 6% level but others can be more than twice as strong. Be careful, especially young people. Know what you're drinking.
