On this date in 1947, 70 years ago today, the NBC television program "Meet the Press" was first aired. It is a Washington based Sunday morning live interview and panel discussion program focusing on political and public affairs events and issues. Except for being pre-empted by special events, it has appeared uninterrupted since it's beginning making it the longest running TV program in history. It was a half-hour program from its inception until 1992 when it was extended to an hour.
I haven't watched it for decades - that peacock oozes and reeks of liberal media.
