WEEKEND LITURGY

As we continue on these weeks following Easter, we hear additional stories of how Jesus visited people after his death.  One thing to keep in mind:  Jesus did not appear to people as a ghost but as a living human being albeit carrying the scars of his crucifixion.  He talked, invited people to touch him and his wounds, and ate meals with people.  This was much more than what you get from people who 'don't believe in ghosts'.   All accounts relate that it was the real thing - a real visit.  It is what separates Jesus from mortal men; it is on this that religion is based.  Jesus is God.
