"Children, let us love not in word and speech, but in deed and truth." These words are taken from John's letter read this weekend at Catholic mass. It is easy to discern; enough with all the talk, let's see you do something. As we used to say, "Your actions, speak louder than words."
This is the weekend is the fifth Sunday of Easter. The Apostles continue to preach to more people, in more distant lands. Here is one of the stories they told.
Jesus said, "I am the vine and you are the branches. God the Father is the vine grower. Branches that do not grow properly or that are not attached to the vine will be pruned or thrown away." Now, don't be afraid. Broken branches can be healed. Love in deed and in truth.
