FISH FRY FRIDAY

In our area of the country, there are a plethora of fish fries on the Fridays in Lent.  If you are one who frequents them, I want to remind you of a few things.

Fish come in three kinds:  First are the Agnathans - boneless and finless suckers like eels.  The second are the Chondricthyans - boneless but with cartilage and opposing fins like sharks .  The third are the Osteichthyans - boney with opposing fins like most of the fish you've ever seen.

Okay, here's the part to think about before heading out to that fish fry.  Fish are all cold blooded.  They all eat disgusting things like worms.  Some also eat their young.  They breathe the oxygen in water but cannot breathe the oxygen in air.  They all swim in their own excrement.  They all smell like fish.  Most are worried about their weight - they take their scales with them at all times.  Fish oil is supposed to be good for you but not recommended for your car.  Fish commonly suffer from diseases and parasites.

Enjoy your fish fry.
