MIDWEEK PRAYER

This week, from the Old Testament of the Christian Bible or from the Hebrew Bible, the Book of Psalms.  The words of David - a modern English translation of Psalm 23.

"The Lord is my shepherd;
I have everything I need.
He lets me rest in fields of green grass
and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.
He gives me new strength.
He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised.
Even if I go through the deepest darkness,
I will not be afraid, Lord,
for you are with me,
you will protect me."

Several times in my life I have repeated a version of this verse to myself in times of need; when I was in distress.  For me, it calms the mind, body and spirit.

🙏
