There was a huge golf tournament last weekend. You may think I'm talking about The Open which was played in Ireland for the first time in over sixty years and was won by an Irishman. No! I'm talking about the Barbasol Championship played in Kentucky and won by a homeboy.
Jim Herman, a 41-year-old University of Cincinnati graduate, won for the 2nd time on the PGA Tour. He was born and raised in Cincy and attended St. Xavier High School.
Herman got a call from the President and First Lady after his win - you see, he was once PGA Pro at Trump's course in New Jersey called Trump National. He also now retains his PGA playing card for two years and gets automatic entry in major Tour events. It was a big, big day for Jim Herman.
Jim now resides in Palm City, Florida to be close to my daughter and her family. :)
