I pay a lot of attention to what goes on in Las Vegas but I admit I don't understand it all.  All of the "sports books" have posted odds for the opening week of the NFL season which begins on Thursday September 5.  The Cincinnati Bengals play Sunday the 8th at 4:05 EST in Seattle against the Seahawks.  All lines favor the Seahawks by between 8 and 9 points with 43-1/2 o/u.  Get your money down!

A woman goes to a counselor for advice. 
Counselor:  What's the problem?"
Woman:  "Every day my husband loses his temper for no reason and scares me."
Counselor:  "I have a cure for that.  When it seems your husband is getting angry, take a double shot of Jack Daniel's bourbon and swish it around in your mouth.  Swish and swish, but don't swallow it until he calms down." 
Two weeks later
Woman:  "That was a brilliant idea. Every time my husband started to get angry, I swished the Jack Daniels and he would start to calm down.  Amazing!  What is it about the Jack Daniel's that makes it work like that?" 
Counselor:  "The Jack Daniels had nothing to do with it."
