THE "C" WORD

First, I refuse to write anything about the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.  We certainly have enough of that on the telly. 

My spouse is extra-upset because the President keeps having 2:15 news conferences and General Hospital airs from 2-3:00 pm.  The nerve of that guy.  It's important for citizens to see how our hospitals are handling the latest "C" epidemic.

When I was a young man, the "C" word was a death knell.  The only response was "how long do you give me to live?"  I thought for a few years now, how amazingly the "C" disease has diminished in severity.  Maybe I mused too soon.

The "C" word has never been kind to me.  Many a teacher handed me one.  It's the main reason I donate blood regularly.   The blood center never saddles me with a "C".   No!  I always have "A+".
