BENGAL-MANIA

One win, four losses and one tie -  not a stellar start to the season.  Another close loss; this one 31-27 to the Colts.  Here is an interesting statistic that says loads about the Bengals season so far.  Their opponents have scored 28 more points than them.  That's only about 4-1/2 points a game.  The division leading Dallas Cowboys have scored 45 less than their opponents; the N.Y. Jets have scored 101 points less than their opponents.  Our boys have got to learn how to win some close games.

This week we have a rematch with Cleveland here at PBS.  The Browns demolished us up there a few weeks ago.  We couldn't stop their running attack.  Now we have lost our main man in stopping the run, J.R. Reader, so things look dim.  Browns' quarterback Baker Mayfield was injured during last week's game against the Steelers but is expected to go this week.

The Vegas crowd has made the Browns a 3-1/2 point favorite (down from 4-1/2) and a large score of 50-1/2 combined points.  Don't bet on sports.

The Bengals will wear their black jersey uniforms this week.  They last wore those when the beat the Jaguars.
