RANDOM MUSINGS FROM THE TOP OF THE HILL

BENGAL-MANIA

No game this week.  A scheduled bye.    A time to unwind from the great win last weekend, the COVID-19 spike, the election turmoil and the rush of good weather in the Ohio valley;  Indian Summer, if you will.

Our boys were 2-5-1 in the first half of the season which is near what could be expected.  Honestly, they were in a position to win 2 or 3 of those losses.

The Bengals knocked off the Tennessee Titans 31-20 last Sunday.  Joe Burrow was terrific again.  The Titans were 5-1 before that game and heavily favored.  The Bengals had so many starters unavailable it was a small miracle they could do anything.  Maybe those "color rush" uniforms had something to do with their success.

Looking ahead to the second half of the season, we see an almost impossible task against the Steelers to start and then four games in which they should be competitive including a return of Andy Dalton to Paul Brown Stadium.  The last three games include a visit to the Houston Texans sandwiched in between  rematches with the Steelers and Baltimore Ravens.

WHO DEY!
