FOOD

When I was a kid, my grandmother came up with a fruitcake each Christmas season.  She always encouraged me to try it.  It was some kind of tradition.

I always hated it.  The taste of the fruit was terrible.  I learned to avoid it.

Well, during this Christmas season a neighbor asked if I liked fruitcake.  Of course, I said absolutely "no!"  Undaunted, the good friend gifted us with a Claxton Fruit Cake.  Oh my Goodness.  I was blown away.  This little company in Georgia knew how to make a fruitcake tastes delicious.  It's marked "Old Fashioned" but it's not what I remember in my "old" days.   Very sweet!  Very rich!  A small block of it will last a long time.

Good enough that I feel comfortable endorsing the product to one and all.  If fruitcake has a bad reputation in your mind, give this one a try.  Made in America.
