DIDJA KNOW?

 The Liberty Bell is a national treasure; a symbol of our independence.  It now sits in the Liberty Bell Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

The bell was cast in 1751 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of  Pennsylvania's constitution. The bell was hung in the state house and was rung to call legislators to sessions or meetings. It was most notably rung to announce America's Independence in 1776.  

There is a biblical inscription engraved on the bell.  It is from the Old Testament, Moses' book called  Leviticus;  chapter 25, verse 10:  "Proclaim Liberty throughout all the land unto the inhabitants thereof."

I pray this land is always the "land of the free".
