ART

 For several months last year, I tortured you each Monday with a dose of my amateurish art. Today, I'd like to turn you on to some real art.  

This lady is no secret but, in case you are unaware, there is a 26 year old prodigy in our country.  She appeared on Oprah Winfrey's show when she was nine and has been mentioned on a number of national programs.  Here name is Akiane Kramarik.  

They began saving her work when she was five years old.  Her original works today sell for six figures while prints of them go for thousands.  

She has a fascinating biography.  You can read it on her website:  akiane.com   There you will also see a gallery of her works including paintings, drawings and sketches dating to when she was five.  It's marvelous.  

One of the real fascinations to me was that despite the fact that she has no religious background, her parents were atheistic or agnostic, many of her works carry a religious overtone.  She claims to have received inspiration from dreams and visions.
